PHOTOS OF THE WEEK:
PICTORIAL OF IRELAND !!!!
The island is about 300 miles long and 170 miles wide, and covers approximately 32,600 square miles.
Ireland has 32 counties. There are 26 in the Republic of Ireland and 6 in Northern Ireland.
The Republic of Ireland is a parliamentary democracy with a president as head of state. Northern Ireland has its own regional government, but is part of the United Kingdom.
There are about 6 million people living on the island – 4.3 million people live in the Republic of Ireland and 1.7 million in Northern Ireland. One third of the population is under the age of 29.
This is just one of the many beautiful flowers you will find in Ireland. This one is the Carousel plant.
Of course, we need to remember that Ireland is an Island, so much of the animal life can be seen in the ocean.

So, that is my little photo tour of Ireland. Just a trip to Ireland, so that when you think of St. Patrick’s day, perhaps you will be reminded of the beauty of the country instead of all the silly things that have come of the holiday. If you want my opinion, I think Ireland now ranks as one of the places to go for wonderful photographic expeditions. Is this a place that is untapped in the world for even greater photo opportunities? Could be.
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL PHOTOS WERE COMPLIMENTS OF IRELAND.COM. A SINCERE THANK YOU TO IRELAND.COM, PINTEREST AND OTHER NOTED PHOTOGRAPHERS FOR THE USE OF THEIR PHOTOS.
