THROWBACK THURSDAY: WINNING PHOTOS OF THE WEEK – REVISITED

TIME TO LOOK BACK AT SOME WINNING PHOTOS :  THESE WERE JUST AMAZING:

PHOTOS OF THE WEEK:

SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2016

Tis the season for amazing photos again?  Ahh,  yes, and every Thursday, we come to that special time, where I search all over for those amazing photos from professionals, amateurs, who have captured the perfect photo this week.  Take a look at these photos, and study how they were done, and perhaps you too, someday, will be here on the list.  Congratulations to all those who have won the “Photos of the Week” among all your peers.

“PORTRAIT OF THE WEEK”

This has won the “Portrait of the Week” with it’s beautiful candor, and of course a wonderful pose by two beautiful people.  And to have them pose on that log…. wow.  Here is the details:

Son and Mommy.
Focal: 85mm | F-stop: 2.0 | Exposure: 1/100sec. | ISO: 1000
Light: Dry Creek Park, Sacramento. Natural Light.

It’s been a while since a black and white photo won the “Photos of the Week”.  And you can see why this one won.  Talk about timing it just right.  That is an amazing shot, or if it was done in the computer, that is amazing too.  But, looking at that carefully, I think it was done naturally.  But, whatever the case, I have seen something like this before, and wished I had my camera ready. Someone caught this one just right.  Congratulations to Mr. Madonado.

Oh my goodness.  Don’t you just find that this place just must be in heaven.  A beautiful long exposure photo of this waterfall, in the midst of this lush green area.  I just want to go there and sit there for a while……OR just sit and look at this photo.  Congratulations to Lincoln Harrison for this fantastic photo.

Some people see an old dead tree.  A photographer sees a work of art.  Right?  This photo is extra special because it is a winner not only on this blog, but, it is a winning photo with a national magazine.  Congratulations to Kathleen Wasselle Croft for seeing the beauty in the unusual.

Photo Of The Day: “Crazy Sunrise” By Kathleen Wasselle Croft. Location: Glacier National Park, Montana.  Submitted to OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE.

What beautiful colors.  I live by a field of lavender fields like this, and it is amazing when they are all out in bloom like this.  It is so beautiful when they are all out in bloom like this.  This photo is simply titled:  “The Colors of Summer” or : Les couleurs d’été.

Congratulations to:  Fannie Jowski for this photo, and it was submitted to:  Fine Art Photography.

I am not sure I even know where this road is.  I don’t want to know, because I would never go on that road.  I put that picture in this week, because this is just one of those photos that people will talk about for a long time.  You don’t just make things like this up.  I have the Facebook link to this photo and people comment about how they have been on worse roads than this.  So, this is for real.

PHOTO COMPLIMENTS OF:  WONDERFUL AMAZING WORLD.

That is all for this week’s Photos of the Week.  It has been amazing what photos I can find that are all winners.  It takes hours to come up with just 6.  But, worth it, right?  Well pass this on to your friends and family.  These kind of photos deserve to be shared.

By the way, this blog now is being shared all over the world, by thousands of people.  So, congratulations to all the photographers who have won this week.  It is getting some good exposure (pun intended).
