Kanab is a city located in Kane County, Utah, in the United States. It is located on Kanab Creek just north of the Arizona state line. This town was settled in 1864 and founded in 1870 when 10 Latter Day Saint families moved into the area. The population was 4,312 with the 2010 US census. Kanab is situated in the “grand circle” area, centrally located among Vermillion cliffs National monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zions Canyon National Park, The Grand Canyon, and Lake Powell. Other close-by attractions include The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Coral Pink Sands State Park, Privately owned Moqui cave, and the largest animal sanctuary in the United States: Best Friends animal Society. Locals refer to Kanab as Little Hollywood due to it’s location of many movies and TV series done here, such as Stagecoach, the Lone Ranger, and Death Valley Days. – wikipedia

This is just a small sampling of what is around Kanab, Utah. Kanab is considered the hub of all these special areas you see in these photos. For such a small town of just around 5,000 people, there are 15 major hotels here in this town that try to house all the tourists that come to this town. In the tourist season, it is very difficult to get a room in any of these hotels. All of these sites here are just a short distance from this town. It is amazing that this town sits right in the middle of all these sites. This town deserves to be highlighted as a town for PHOTOS OF THE WEEK. CONGRATULATIONS : KANAB, UTAH.
