Lots of photos taken during Halloween:

We are about to enter one of the most popular holidays, at least in the United States. Kids are even getting out of school now so they can celebrate this crazy holiday. For those who don’t know what Halloween is, here is a great summary:

Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31, and Halloween 2022 will occur on Monday, October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.

Try something new with your photos this year: Be creative!

There are going to be a lot of photos taken of your children, friends, family, and grandchildren. We know that. You want to enjoy Halloween more? Then let’s try some creative photography! Keep in mind that photography at Halloween time is usually done in the dark. Is your camera capable of low light photography. Some cell phones have got new capabilities to do low light photography that is incredible. Check that if your regular DSLR or Mirrorless camera isn’t there yet. Note that the newer mirrorless cameras have an ISO of 3,200,000. So check and see how high your ISO will go in your camera. That will give you the opportunity of taking extremely low light photography. But also keep in mind that the more light you have the better your photos will be. Maybe think of how to be creative with your light.
